Designer Laser Vaginoplasty Procedure in Washington DC | Recovery Time

The Vaginoplasty in Virginia is an outpatient surgery that will take about an hour to complete. After you awake from the anesthesia, and our lead Dr. Jack Ayoub checks to make sure that you are completely stable, you will be able to go home and rest. In the first two days, there will be some discomfort that is minor. Dr. Ayoub will prescribe pain medications in case you need it. Also, antibiotic is usually taken before the procedure, although the chance for infection is very slim. We would also recommend using an ice pack for the first twenty four to seventy two hours to help decrease the swelling.

After about 3-5 days of rest, the patient will be able to go back to work. We recommend that the patient should resume her physical activity slowly and gradually, as she is feeling better, at this point, there is no reason that the patient is unable to resume her usual activities normally. Although the vagina area may still be a little bit sore, the patient should be able to get back to her normal activities, whether it is working, walking or cleaning. It is important to mention that the patient should avid lifting heavy things or exercise should wait about 3 weeks after the procedure.

After a week or so, the patient normally will continue healing and feeling better. The redness and swelling will start to go away and you the patient will feel like herself again. After 6 weeks the patient will be able to resume her normal sexual activities again.
